Full fitting instructions are included and fitting should take about an hour. You will need standard tools and basic DIY knowledge. The unit is fitted in front of the garage door with two expandable security raw bolts that are included.
The garage defender is fitted into concrete or tarmac on the ground If you are fitting the unit into concrete, you will need at least 4 - 5 inches of solid concrete outside your garage door. For units that will be fitted into tarmac or block pavers, you will need to purchase a garage defender with a built in base unit. In order to fit a garage defender you will need excavate a deep hole of 250mm and have a good concrete mix for filling the hole.
